We’ve had this Nerf Herder album, IV, here in the studio for a little while but I had yet to listen to it so figured I’d give it a shot.
The first song we chose was “Golfshirt Part 2″. The first reaction from the chat room was “another stalker band?” but this is different, it seems. Again, I was very happy to be able to understand the lyrics. I laughed a couple time. It also sounds good!
The second song was “Manatee”. I love manatees. Although this song sure gave it a different outlook on manatees! This song was so enjoyable that it was immediately requested to Mickey for it to be played on SomaCow live last Friday. And I REALLY laughed out loud for this one. Great lyrics, listen back through to it again if you don’t catch it all!
The third song was “Crocodile”. This one wasn’t so much like “Manatee” but still quite enjoyable! In fact, we had it requested that I play a 4th Nerf Herder song!
So our final song was “High School Reunion”. I started to tell my reunion story but Geoff felt the need to call in and ask me on the air about my cooking. I think the chat room was too demanding over missing him and his banter with me. So my high school reunion story…well, never mind. I don’t even remember what I was going to tell! I didn’t go. I think I might go to the next one only because of the old friends I’ve hooked up with on Facebook. Hmmm.
