Rowan and I did the show again this week and this band hit me when I went to their website and heard the first few seconds of the first song I chose to play, “Caught In a Crosswalk” off the Twilight album.
We loved it! The horns were great and the chatroom agreed. The female lead singer had a fun voice and we have high hopes!
Our second song was “Everybody Looks, Not Everybody Finds”. This one had a male lead singer but our female we loved from the first song made an appearance. It sounded surfy to some in the chat room but not in a bad way. One interesting point of these songs is they seem to have a 6-second fade out but hey, gives me time to chat with the live chat room. You can join us tonight! Geoff is in town so we’ll have our usual loved banter again.

Our third song was “Sweet and Sour”. Rowan seemed to like it but it got less positive reviews from the chat room. I think in comparison, it just didn’t have the oomph the first two did. We realized that the lyrics are very simple as well as the notes of the singing. The band and music are really the base of this band. The singing and lyrics are just kind of on top of it, like sprinkles.
We had time for one more song, “Make Me Smile, Come Up and See Me”. I picked this one because the title reminded me of Geoff, who I dearly miss when he’s gone. Thank you all for being an awesome chat room helping me out while he’s gone but I know that ComaSow, and I, are that much better with him here. OK, I’m getting all gooey now so I’ll stop. This song wasn’t bad, just didn’t hold our attention like the first two.
Overall we liked Baskervilles, they will be in rotation for sure.
