ComaSow

ComaSow began a few years back when the SomaCow crew had received so much music that we just couldn’t play it all. I wanted to play the great music these artists sent us and expose them to the world.

On the site, these are the ComaSows from the early days.

In 2008 I got pregnant and continued to do the show through the pregnancy but toward the end thought I’d take a break. The break ended up going a little longer than I expected. Yeah, having a baby does change things a little bit!

After some getting used to being a mom, I realized I really missed doing the show, and Geoff from SomaCow (and also my best friend and husband), suggested we do a music review show together under the ComaSow name. Geoff used to do SynDown radio and we both missed the music.

So we decided to revive ComaSow, Rowan joining us, and the current show format was born.

Late 2009 (2009?!?) we had Nos join us. Nos had done internet radio but had recently found himself showless and wanted to do a music show. Since Rowan was becoming more “busy” and required more attention, we happily brought Nos on board and here we are!

So here is ComaSow, reviewing independent music sent to us, with permission, by the artist and/or their representatives. Sometimes we like the music, sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we have differing opinions from our live audience. You can join them and give your opinion every Wednesday at 8 PM Eastern at ustream.
